Bill Freedman was a long-standing Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) volunteer and former National Board Chair. He was a researcher and professor of biology at Dalhousie University.

He was also the author of A History of the Nature Conservancy of Canada (2013), the first comprehensive look at NCC's 50-year history as the nation’s largest non-profit land conservation organization.

In loving memory of Dr. Bill Freedman (1950-2015).
