David Dutkiewicz

David is the entomology technician at the Invasive Species Centre. He has been working in the insect diagnostics lab at the Great Lakes Forestry Centre (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario) since 2009. During that time, he earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from Algoma University, a forestry conservation technician diploma from Sault College, and a master’s of science in environmental science from the University of Guelph looking at forest disturbances cause by emerald ash borer. David’s insect identification work focuses on forest pests and invasive species, with a specialization in beetles and moth/butterfly larvae.
