Jon Kelly

Jon Kelly

Jon Kelly is the regional stewardship assistant with the Nature Conservancy of Canada in British Columbia, where he supports the stewardship work being carried out across the province.. With a strong interest in conservation, he moved from Toronto to pursue a conservation internship with NCC in the summer of 2015 which led to his current position with the organization.

Jon obtained a bachelor of science in conservation biology and forest science, and a postgrad certificate in environmental management, both from the University of Toronto. His past experiences are varied and include creating an inventory of trees in an urban forest, preparing fungal specimens and maintaining collections databases in a museum, using GIS to plan bird survey research and planting trees.

Outside of work Jon enjoys music, art, cooking, skateboarding and exploring nature with his wife and son.
