Michael Paskewitz is the government relations coordinator at the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC). In this role, he brings many years of experience as a public affairs and communications specialist, working to make Canada a world leader in nature conservation. He has a background in political studies and film and media from Queen’s University.
Michael has been active in the federal level for many years. Prior to his role at NCC, Michael worked to enhance the public affairs capacity of non-profits specializing in international and aboriginal community development, both in a workplace setting and as a board member for an international cooperation NGO. He also spent time in the nation’s capital, working as a political staffer in the Leader’s Office of a federal political party. His public affairs work has led to positive public policy outcomes for environmental and international development efforts.
Michael is also passionate about documentary film and volunteers with the Hot Docs Documentary Film Festival and cinema in Toronto.
