Sophie Arbour is a science communications intern at the Nature Conservancy of Canada’s (NCC’s) Quebec Region. She is responsible for promoting Quebec Region’s science-related activities, especially connectivity.
She completed a specialized graduate diploma (DESS) in media, culture and technology at the University of Montreal in 2018. She particularly enjoys writing, researching and analyzing.
Her strong interest in conservation was awakened when she started taking daily walks in parks in the Greater Montreal Area. She firmly believes that a walk in nature is one of the most powerful things one can do, as walking enhances the thinking process, and the sounds, smells and looks of nature have therapeutic qualities.
