It takes 21 days to form a habit, or so they say.

This year (or even for many years), if you’ve once contemplated staying active and closer to nature, but just aren’t motivated enough or unsure of where to start, we have a challenge for you! Maybe you want to up your game or no longer be the lone wolf in this interest. Take part in the Nature Conservancy of Canada's (NCC's) challenge: 21 days to a newer, more natural you! It may be your personal pilgrimage or an opportunity for social shenanigans.

Click here to sign up and receive instructions on the 21 Days of Nature challenge. Bonus: The first 21 people to sign up will receive a free NCC 2016 calendar!

Tell your friends and family about your commitment and challenge each other to a newer, nature-filled 2016!

PS: It actually takes longer than 21 days to form a habit. The myth of this popular saying probably originated from a misnterpreation of Dr. Maxwell Maltz’s work on self-image, in which he did not actually claim it takes 21 days. However, readers wanted it to be true, so much so that the myth propagated like wildfire.

Regardless of whether it takes a few weeks or months to form a habit, the key is persistence. Do the deed, put in the work and savour your progress!

Share your progress with us using #21daysofnature on Twitter and Instagram!
