Great Lakes–St. Lawrence forest region

Second to the size of the boreal forest is the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence forest region, which stretches from southeastern Manitoba to the Gaspé Peninsula in Quebec. A mix of coniferous and deciduous trees, including white pine, sugar maple, yellow birch and eastern hemlock, can be found in this region. NCC is working to protect large, intact landscapes in the diverse forest region.
