Resources For Land Trusts

Land trusts and conservation organizations across Canada may be able to obtain financial support for their work in conserving ecologically sensitive land and improving best practices within their organization.

All of the financial assistance programs listed below are administered by the Nature Conservancy of Canada with funding provided by Environment and Climate Change Canada.

The Other Qualified Organizations Program

Administered under the Natural Areas Conservation Program, the OQO Program provides financial assistance to eligible organizations to acquire ecologically sensitive land.

The OQO Capacity Development Funding Program

Administered under the Natural Areas Conservation Program, the OQO Capacity Development Funding Program provides financial assistance to help eligible organizations develop capacity to secure and steward conservation lands.

The EGP Land Acquisition Support Fund Program (EGP LASF)

The EGP LASF Program provides financial assistance to eligible organizations that have acquired donated ecologically sensitive land under Environment and Climate Change Canada's Ecological Gift Program.
