Beaver Hills Biosphere Day
Saturday, September 14, 2019
Help us celebrate the Beaver Hills Biosphere.
The Beaver Hills is an island of boreal forest surrounded by aspen parkland that deserves to be celebrated. Join the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) and local partners for a hands-on day of celebration and conservation work!
9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Celebrate Biosphere Day in the Beaver Hills by helping us collect valuable data on one of our newest conservation properties! We need all hands on deck to identify as many species as possible on the property. Following the bioblitz, we'll be travelling to the Biosphere Community BBQ to enjoy a free lunch!

Drop by between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. to join the Nature Conservancy of Canada and Beaver Hills Biosphere partners for a BBQ. After enjoying food generously provided by Strathcona County, take a stroll on the biodiversity trail, visit with community members and find out more about what’s going on in the Biosphere. Let us know if you’re coming!

It’s time for our annual nest box checkup at Gambling Lake! Join us to help monitor the bird and bee nesting boxes installed on this property. We'll meet you at our Gambling Lake property, but meet us at the Biosphere Community BBQ, grab a bite to eat and then join us for some bird and bee fun!
