Ian and Judy Griffin

Ian Griffin has been a proud supporter of the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) in Alberta since 1998. He has volunteered and supported us in various capacities along the way. Over the past 10 years, Ian has served as a director, chair and past chair on the Alberta Regional Board, and on the NCC National Board.

Ian and Judy Griffin Conservation Challenge Fund

In 2006, Ian and his wife, Judy, demonstrated their leadership and commitment to conservation by establishing the Ian and Judy Griffin Conservation Challenge Fund. Through their generous gift to Alberta, the first $1,000 of every new Alberta Leader in Conservation is matched dollar for dollar. Ian would like to challenge anyone interested in the Leaders in Conservation program.

"Nothing can compare to the feeling of knowing you are making a positive difference for now and for the future," said Ian. "As a Leader in Conservation, I am proud to be doing my part to protect the ecological integrity of our beautiful province."

NCC is very proud to have the support of two people who so passionately believe in NCC's mission and work.

About the Leaders in Conservation Program

Leaders in Conservation are among NCC's most important donors. Members of this program make an annual, renewable contribution of $1,000 (or $84 per month) or more to support NCC. By doing so, they provide NCC with a reliable source of funding that ensures the stability and the confidence necessary to undertake new projects and develop the innovative approaches to conservation for which we are now widely recognized. It is NCC's hope that donors will consider directing at least a portion of their giving to this critical program and become Leaders in Conservation.
