Lynne Hately

Lynne Hately is the director of development and communications for the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) in Alberta. Her position oversees fundraising initiatives and communications to NCC donors and supporters.

Lynne joined NCC in 2011 and worked as Alberta’s regional controller for 10 years. She joined the organization because of NCC’s outstanding reputation for achieving conservation outcomes and maintaining accountability to donors.

Lynne is a certified fund-raising executive and a certified general accountant. She studied psychology at the University of Western Ontario and has a master’s degree in international affairs from Carleton University. Lynne has a long background working for non-profits, which began in programming and evolved into fundraising.

Lynne enjoys the winter months by skiing every chance she gets. Her newest hobby is playing hockey on a women’s team. During breaks in her workday, you can find Lynne playing the viola or taking walks on Canmore’s trails.
