Corportate Partners

  • The W. Garfield Weston Foundation

    The W. Garfield Weston Foundation is a driving force behind the Waterton Park Front Project, which protects more than 32,000 acres (12,950 hectares) thanks to the Weston Waterton Stewardship Endowment Fund. The Weston Family Conservation Centre was established to share the importance of the area and conservation with visitors to Waterton.

  • EnCana Corporation

    EnCana has supported native grassland restoration at our Nodwell property at Horseshoe Canyon and the conservation of Sandstone Ranch.

  • TransCanada

    TransCanada's support for consevation in Alberta will allow $5 million to be invested directly in the Red Deer River Natural Area. 

  • Enbridge

    In Alberta, Enbridge's support has ensured the conservation of the Brown Property near Cooking Lake Moraine.

  • Imperial Oil

    Imperial Oil Foundation has granted $200,000 to NCC to advance the conservation science and explore opportunities for land conservation initiatives in the western boreal plains of Canada.

  • Suncor

    Suncor and Petro-Canada donated $125,000 to NCC to advance the conservation science and explore opportunities for land conservation initiatives in the western boreal plains of Canada.

  • Walton International

    In 2005, Walton International decided to create their conservation legacy by making annual gifts over five years, totalling $1,250,000, to NCC in Alberta, and in so doing, helped conserve more than 50,000 acres with a conservation value of over $120,000,000.

Major individual partners

  • John and Barbara Poole and family

    The Poole family have provided integral support for the Waterton Park Front Project as well as the securement of lands, stewardship endowment and capacity building across Alberta.

  • Doc Seaman

    Doc Seaman initiated the conservation of his beloved OH Ranch, a project which sadly he did not live to see completed. He also made a significant donation to create the East Slopes Stewardship Endowment Fund, which when fully funded, will help NCC steward OH Ranch and other conservation projects along the eastern slopes of Alberta's Rocky Mountains for many years to come.

  • Ian and Judy Griffin

    In 2006, Ian and Judy Griffin demonstrated their leadership and commitment with an incredible and worthy investment a stock donation to establish the Ian and Judy Griffin Conservation Challenge Fund which matches dollar for dollar the first $1,000 donation of every new Leader in Conservation in Alberta.

  • Don Warner

    Don Warner made a significant gift of securities to support NCC's conservation work, specifically the grasslands of Alberta. 

Governments and associations

  • Alberta Conservation Association

    The Alberta Conservation Association has partnered with NCC on a number of conservation projects across the province, including the 1,500-acre (600-hectare) Golden Ranches property east of Edmonton.

  • Alberta Fish & Game Association

    The Alberta Fish and Game Association has partnered with NCC on a number of conservation projects across the province, including the 1,500-acre (600-hectare) Golden Ranches property located east of Edmonton.

  • Government of Alberta – Alberta Lottery Fund

    The Alberta Lottery Fund has provided funding to NCC in Alberta for organizational development by supporting the professional development of staff, as well as granting funds towards our Conservation Volunteers program.
