Open Farm Day 2017

Stuartburn, Manitoba
September 17, 2017

On Sunday, September 17, 2017, The Weston Family Tallgrass Prairie Interpretive Centre will be one of several host sites for the 2017 Open Farm Day.

We encourage visitors to come to the centre and learn about the relationship between grazing and conservation.

Producers will be on site discussing why working with NCC has been important to them through multiple generations, and NCC staff will be talking about the importance of grazing as a land management tool.

Visitors are encouraged to also take part in the children's activities, enjoy the picnic area, observation deck and interpretive materials and hike the Prairie Orchid Hiking Trail through one of the most endangered ecosystems in North America: the tall grass prairie.

For more information, contact Christine Chilton at christine.chilton@natureconservancy.ca or call us toll-free at 1-866-683-6934. You can also visit openfarmday.ca/ to see a list of nearby farms worth visiting.
