Get to know the Nature Conservancy of Canada's (NCC’s) Newfoundland and Labrador team! Megan Lafferty, program director, and Julia Lawler, stewardship coordinator, are a dynamic duo. Based in St John’s, they are dedicated to conservation across the island of Newfoundland and are constantly working to protect new areas and care for existing nature reserves.

Megan and Julia were recently interviewed for the podcast, “709 Watershed.” The podcast is a project of the Indian Bay Ecosystem Corporation, and run by host Darren Sheppard, co-host Nicola Saunders and “sound guru” Jordan Knee. The show features environmental discussion and local news, as well as provincial and national stories. Darren interviewed Megan and Julia about the work they are doing to promote conservation and protect Newfoundland and Labrador’s special wildlife habitats.
