Join NCC at the City Nature Challenge

On Saturday, April 27th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Nature Conservancy of Canada staff will lead citizens out into the future Halifax Wilderness Park to take part in the City Nature Challenge. An international citizen science ‘bioblitz’ started by the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and California Academy of Sciences, the City Nature Challenge engages people and cities across the world to see who can make the most observations, who can find the most species and who can engage the most people. Anyone can take part, no matter your level (or lack) of expertise. Simply download the iNaturalist app here, join the CNC-Halifax project, and upload an observation during the event timeframe (April 26-29th). Still not sure? Join NCC staff on April 27th and we’ll do this together!

Curious about what people are finding? Check out #CityNatureChallenge for some great photos and insights.
