Kelly Castle MacKaracher is the part-time administrative assistant for the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) in Nova Scotia. She started her career with NCC in the spring of 2016 and brought with her over 20 years of administrative and logistics experience, mainly in the cruise industry. She has been fortunate enough to travel to many destinations, including the Arctic and Antarctica, crossing both polar circles. With a love of the outdoors and an advanced diploma in ecotourism, she can truly appreciate what Canada has to offer in our own backyard and how important it is to protect it.

She currently spends the majority of her spare time trying to keep up with a very active toddler. In the little time left over, she enjoys catching up with family and friends, cooking and dabbling in sewing and upholstery, two of her newest hobbies.
