Fall big tree tour at Glen Echo
Saturday, October 14, 2017
Hike and tour will begin at 10 a.m.
Please note this is a private event for Leaders in Conservation (LIC) only. To learn more about how you can become an LIC, visit natureconservancy.ca/lic.
Explore the old growth forest of one of NCC’s newest properties — Glen Echo Nature Reserve in Happy Valley Forest. You will have a chance to visit, hug and photograph many mature trees, including huge and stately ash trees that are threatened by insect pests. This moderate hike will be approximately 3 kilometres in length, with some steep sections. There are no washroom facilities on the property. Following the tour, be our guest for lunch at Pine Farms Orchard in nearby King City (it’s pumpkin season!). Washrooms are available at Pine Farms Orchard.
This event is sold out. To add your name to a waitlist, contact Laura Vaughan at email@example.com.
