Following lunch at the Holiday Country Manor in Battersea, join NCC for a shoreline tour of Loughborough Wilderness. NCC has been working in the area since 2008, creating a 4,000-acre (1,619 hectare) protected area at the eastern end of Loughborough Lake, including more than 6 kilometres of rugged, wild shoreline. Efforts are now underway to add eight properties to the reserve with an additional 2 kilometres of shoreline. Viewing the area by boat gives visitors the unique opportunity to grasp the scale of this project and appreciate the beauty and diversity of the Frontenac Arch Natural Area.
Please RSVP to Laura Vaughan by Friday, September 1.
