April 30, 2013The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) today announces the protection of 1,050 acres (425 ha) over the last five years throughout the Gaspé coastal habitats natural area including the significant protection of 74 acres (30 ha) at pointe Saint-Pierre. Known as "pointe Verte" this area comprises an old-growth forest and over a kilometre and a half of shoreline.
