Size: 600 hectares (1,483 acres)

Location: In the RM of Lumsden and the RM of Longlaketon. It is 14 kilometres south of Southey and 36 kilometres north of Regina.

Directions: From Regina, take Highway 6 north for approximately 36 kilometres. The highway will enter the and go down into the Qu'Appelle Valley. The property is right off the highway. If you drive out of the valley or pass Junction of Gravel Road 99 and Highway 6 on the valley bottom, you've gone too far

Significance: The Fairy Hill Complex includes 199 hectares (493 acres) of seasonal wetlands and 1 hectare (3 acres) of permanent wetlands. The nearby Fairy Hill Marsh provides habitat for several shorebirds and migrating ducks and geese. Northern leopard frog, Sprague's pipit, yellow rail, porcupine sedge and bigmouth buffalo fish have all been spotted here!

Possible Tasks: Adding to species list, surveying for rare species, pulling and bagging weeds, such as common burdock and monitoring for property changes or concerns.
