Chief Information Technology Officer
Chuck Van Kempen is the Nature Conservancy of Canada’s chief information technology officer. Chuck is responsible for determining all technology requirement decisions, establish and direct the strategic long-term technology goals, create and enforce IT policies and procedures, and provide leadership for the IT department to accomplish the organization's business objectives.
Prior to joining NCC in 2006, Chuck worked in a number of senior executive IT roles over a span of over 25 years with companies like My Travel Canada (Sunquest), The Holiday Network, Dapasoft Inc, The Financial Post and The National Post.
Outside of work, Chuck is very fond of of spending time with his family in the outdoors. He enjoys hiking, canoeing, kayaking and has a family cottage where he spends most of his summer weekends on the lake. He also has a great passion for squash and has represented Canada for the last four years playing in an International Masters Squash Tournament against U.S. and Mexico.
