Regional Vice-president, Saskatchewan Region


Mark joined the nature Conservancy of Canada's (NCC's) Saskatchewan Region in early August 2014. He brings a wealth of leadership and expertise to the Region's dynamic and fulfilling work. Mark has extensive experience in fundraising, government relations and business development.

During two terms with the Province of Saskatchewan, Mark served as the minister of agriculture and food and earlier as minister of highways and transportation. He also served as a United Church minister for many years and recently as a development officer at the College of Agriculture and Bioresources in Saskatoon.

Mark's personal commitment to conservation and responsible stewardship has now moved into the professional realm. As Regional Vice-president of NCC in Saskatchewan, Mark develops partnerships with individuals, corporations and governments. He also oversees NCC actions to help ensure the conservation of diverse wildlife species and natural habitat in Saskatchewan.
