NCC teams up with Earth
Rangers to Bring Back the Wild ™
The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC)
is embarking an on an exciting new program to empower children to
protect wild spaces and the animals that live in them. We are
working in collaboration with Earth Rangers, a dynamic charity dedicated to educating kids about
biodiversity loss and empowering them to take action, to launch
Bring Back the Wild™.
Biodiversity in Crisis
Animals and the wild spaces they need
to survive are disappearing at a truly astonishing rate. Many
scientists believe we are now in the midst of a sixth mass extinction
– the most profound since the dinosaurs disappeared more than 65
million years ago.
Kids are passionate about making a real
difference on issues concerning the environment. The crisis facing
habitat and wild animals is their number one environmental concern.
They want to do something about it. Bring Back the Wild™
equips kids with the education and tools they’ll need to make a
real impact on habitat loss.

Impact
Bring Back the Wild™
is kid-powered education and fundraising program. It is a
collaboration between Earth Rangers and the Nature Conservancy of
Canada, designed to give as many kids as possible the opportunity to
help make a difference. The campaign helps raise funds to restore
and protect natural habitats in Canada. Of the funds raised 50% will
support NCC projects, and 50% will support Earth Rangers' education
program.
To participate, kids set up their own
online fundraising page at BringBacktheWild.com. Here they can
choose which animal and habitat they want to help protect, create
their avatar and email friends and family to ask for their support.
