We are grateful to RBC and its clients, who are helping conservation efforts across the country by donating $1million dollars to the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC). RBC committed to raising these funds as part of an initiative in September 2007 whereby they would donate $5 when an RBC account holder switched to more environmentally friendly eStatements.

For the 2008 intern team the adventure is now underway. They are working in all 10 provinces across the country. The team at NCC is helping the interns gain hands-on experience.

Conservation Volunteers have been taking it outside in full force since the season began in April. So far, approximately 900 volunteers have planted trees, removed invasive species, surveyed birds, counted plants and accomplished many other high priority stewardship actions on NCC properties across the country. And we’re not done yet: the CV program has events happening until October!
