Mara Erickson

Mara Erickson is the Communications Director for Operation Grassland Community (OGC). She received her MSc in ecology from the University of Alberta, where she studied the habitat relationships of western grebes, and a BA in biology from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Since joining OGC, she’s focused her efforts on the prairie landscape, combining her love of ecology with her passion for public outreach. 

OGC is a grassroots stewardship program that began in 1989. OGC works one-on-one with its ranching and farming membership (300+ active members) towards common goals of economic stability, vital communities and a healthy environment with sustainable wildlife populations.
