Marcella joined the Nature Conservancy of Canada in 2005. Growing up in the Dolomites of Northeastern Italy, nature has been her playground. She learnt early on from her father about the importance of land conservation.

In her role as director of planned giving, Marcella supports donors to choose the charitable giving option that best fit their personal, financial and tax situation. The true gift is helping them see their passion and values reflected in wild natural areas across Canada.

Marcella holds a law degree from the University of Padua and had her own practice in Italy for 12 years. When she moved to Canada, she volunteered for Oxfam Canada and this experience in the non-profit sector sparked the beginning of a new career. She is a member and volunteer of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners and chaired the Greater Toronto Chapter for four years.
