My name is Tyler and I am a teacher with the Calgary Board of Education. I was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, but moved to Alberta almost eight years ago to start my teaching career. I have a bachelors of education and a masters in science with a specialization in environmental education. I work at Enviros Wilderness School, which is a wilderness-based treatment facility for youth who are working to overcome addiction and better their lives. Ultimately, my goal is to reconnect my students with education in a positive way and show them that learning can happen anywhere, not just in a “typical” classroom.
I have been with GOT Parks since January of this year and I’m really enjoying working with such a dynamic group of people from across the country. When I’m not working I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, biking, snowboarding, scuba diving and camping. I also really like team sports, travelling the world, spending time with good friends and being at home with my wife and dog.
