Urban Salmon Project
“Outdoor storyteller” is how Fernando Lessa could best be described. Drawing from his passion for outdoors sports, biology studies and master’s degree in photography, he specializes in documenting the relationship between man and Mother Nature.
Fernando has strong experience in the field, having worked on projects in a wide variety of areas, including the untouched Amazon forest, the unique Brazilian savannah, the tropical rainforest of Brazil and southern British Columbia.
Fernando also has a strong background in commercial photography; his pictures were exhibited in Europe and South America, and more recently at the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum at the Smithsonian in the U.S. and Vogue UK magazine.
"Urban Salmon" was Fernando’s first project in North America, and the project's book was published in March 2019. The Heart of the Fraser is Fernando's next book and will be available in December 2019.
