Robyn Worcester has spent her career working on the management of urban protected areas within local government and non-profit societies within Metro Vancouver. By developing a conservation program for the Stanley Park Ecology Society, she engaged the community in unique citizen science and stewardship initiatives. She delivered the Vancouver Park Board a State of the Park Report, which initiated the creation of Ecological Action Plan for Stanley Park.

Working with the City of Vancouver and other community partners, she helped create Vancouver’s Bird Strategy, and in 2013 she received a Distinguished Alumni Award from the BC Institute of Technology. She now works as a registered professional biologist for Metro Vancouver Regional Parks and is passionate about protecting the region's unique biodiversity. Her work realizes the value of community participation in the active stewardship of natural areas and she strives to empower people to connect with nature in the city.
