Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative
Aerin Jacob, PhD, is a conservation scientist at the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative (Y2Y), a joint US-Canada non-profit organization focused on landscape connectivity across western North America. She has worked in research, conservation, teaching and consulting in North and Central America and East and Central Africa. Her work includes species at risk, animal behaviour, ecosystem services, conservation and land-use planning, and the science-policy interface. Aerin received the 2019 Early Career Conservationist Award from the Society for Conservation Biology for her leadership, vision and achievements to strengthen science in environmental impact assessment in Canada. She serves on the boards or policy/conservation committees for philanthropic and scientific societies and is active in science communication.
