Clean Sweep at Gambling Lake
September 28, 2023Lindbrook, AB
Gambling Lake Conservation Area (GPS Coordinates: 53.337805, -112.879072)
10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Located 50 minutes from Edmonton, the Gambling Lake conservation area features 92 hectares of dry mixed-wood boreal forest, shrublands and wetlands. The varied habitats here attract a diversity of animals, such as moose, ruffed grouse, trumpeter swan and the endangered little brown myotis bat.
You will help clean out nest boxes to create better habitat for hole-nesting birds, as natural nesting spots around the area may be scarce. Additionally, you’ll help remove a short barbed-wire fence to ensure the safe passage of wildlife through the property. Let’s work together for a healthier ecosystem and the well-being of our feathered friends!
