Cara Borbely

Cara Borbely is the regional controller for the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) in Alberta. Cara joined NCC in June 2017 and processes the expenses and revenues that come into the region. Working at NCC allows her to merge her love of the outdoors and her academic background in finance.

She attended Mount Royal University and graduated with a bachelor of business administration, with a major in accounting. She then went on to complete the CPA program in Alberta. Previously, she worked as an auditor while completing her CPA. This gave her exposure to various types of companies and industries, which gave her the insight that she wanted to work for a not-for-profit company.

Cara loves exploring the mountains, especially the many beautiful hiking trails, lakes and hot springs. She also enjoys quiz night and board games. She enjoys white birch trees, especially in the fall when their leaves change colours.
