How did you come to join the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) team?

I have been interested in earth sciences, wildlife, geography and environment from a young age. I gained experience in public engagement and service to the public through my academic background and previous work experiences. When I noticed the posting for a development officer position with the Nature Conservancy of Canada, I knew right away I needed to apply.

What is your educational background and previous experience?

I completed a bachelor's degree in geography and a masters in urban planning. I had the opportunity to do my summer internship and work as a planning research assistant in Morocco. As a student in Montreal, I conducted research on people's experience of mixed-use developments. And I worked in various public and customer service roles along the way.

What are you hoping to achieve through your work at NCC?

I hope to inspire and strengthen support for nature conservation by connecting with people who are passionate about nature and the environment, and communicating with them about conservation projects and impact. And I wish to help raise the contributions needed to support my team in their effort of protecting and restoring significant natural areas and the life they sustain.

What is your favourite place in nature?

I completely fell in love with the rainforests and mountain peaks of British Columbia. But the Pink Granite Coast of Brittany, in France, is where I spent many of my summers and has a special place in my heart.

What are your hobbies/interests outside work?

I enjoy running, hiking, swimming, kayaking, skiing in the winter, reading books, practicing a bit of yoga, and having coffee or drinks with friends.
