Conservation operations assistant

Stephen Gietz's role with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) was initially as a geographic information systems (GIS) analyst for the Manitoba Region, and he is now the conservation operations assistant. He first joined NCC as a conservation intern and later transitioned into a full-time analyst.

As a graduate of the environmental studies program at the University of Winnipeg, Stephen comes to NCC with a background in forestry and a strong knowledge of the use of GIS in conservation science.

When he's not in the office, you'll find him touring NCC's many natural areas on his bicycle or spending weekends at the cottage with his family.
