Tel: 506-800-7249

Denise Roy has worked for the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) since 2001. She first joined as a summer intern, managing the interpretive centres at Johnson’s Mills and Mary’s Point. Following her internship, she took on a full-time role, performing land securement as NCC grew in the Atlantic Region.

As conservation coordinator in New Brunswick, she is actively involved in all aspects of land conservation. Her primary focus is working directly with private landowners and negotiating agreements for the long-term securement of ecologically significant land.

Born and raised in the small coastal community of Cocagne in southeast New Brunswick, Denise attended l’Université de Moncton where she holds a B.Sc., with a major in biology and a minor in geography. Denise works from a home-based office just outside Moncton and enjoys gardening, birding, paddling with her dragon boat team (‘tit Bateau), spending time in nature and walking with her dog.
