Backus Woods

Port Rowan, Ontario
9 a.m.–1 p.m.

Garbage, such as bottles, balloons and grocery bags, accumulates along roadways every year and can pose a threat to plants and animals found at Backus Woods. Join NCC staff for a roadside cleanup to collect waste that has accumulated along the roadway. Following the cleanup, NCC staff will lead a property tour where you can learn about the unique species that make up the Carolinian Canada Life Zone. Physical activity will include walking approximately two kilometres over flat terrain, bending, lifting and twisting.
