9:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Join the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) and the Canadian Conservation Corps (CCC) for a leisurely walk through the forest and along the roadside to pick up garbage. Physical activity will include walking over both flat and uneven terrain, bending, picking up/carrying small items.

  • Participants will walk up to 2 km on flat and uneven ground
There are no toilets on site.

All tools will be provided by NCC/CCC. Water and snacks will be provided.

Equipment checklist

  • water bottle
  • sarm layers of clothing and a hat
  • work gloves
  • closed-toed, sturdy walking shoes
  • rain gear (just in case)
  • sunscreen & insect repellent

No previous experience is required. This event will proceed rain or shine, so please dress for the conditions: rubber boots or shoes you don’t mind getting wet or dirty, long layers of comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting dirty, a hat and a change of dry clothes (just in case).  

To allow us to plan for a safe, successful, and enjoyable day in the field together, all participants must register in advance of the event. As space is limited and spots fill up fast, register today to confirm your attendance.
