Francine Bégin joined the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) team in 2007 as financial assistant, working alongside Mary Bishay, controller, and Matthieu Sirois, financial coordinator. She has a technical diploma in administration from Cégep Édouard-Montpetit.

Prior to joining NCC, Francine worked at a non-profit organization dedicated to helping handicapped persons re-enter the labour market. Given her engaging and generous personality, she particularly appreciates assignments involving teamwork.

An outdoors enthusiast, Francine was a group leader for the Scout movement for many years.

One of her favourite hobbies is playing pétanque, an activity that allows her to enjoy nature while having fun with her teammates. In fact, she is the secretary for the administrative committee of her club.
