Making Asquith Wildlife-Friendly

Date: Saturday, September 11, 2021

Time: 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Location: NCC's Asquith property

Asquith is the Nature Conservancy of Canada's (NCC’s) newest Nature Destination, located only 55 kilometres from Saskatoon! The Asquith conservation area consists of 543 hectares (1,343 acres) of ecologically significant land and water and contributes to an important wildlife habitat corridor in the Saskatoon Prairie Natural Area. Consisting of native grasslands, trembling aspen stands and stabilized sand dunes, there’s a chance you could see migratory birds, American badger, loggerhead shrike or northern leopard frogs here.

Also calling Asquith home are many ungulates who need our help. Join NCC and lend your support in cleaning up old fencing material. Working together, we will clear the area of debris to reduce barriers and hazards to wildlife, ensuring the area has the best possible habitat for the creatures that need it most.
