Chief Human Resource Officer
Grace McTear is the chief human resource officer at the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC). She joined NCC in the summer of 2016 as the director of human resources and became the chief human resources officer in August 2017. She brings over 30 years of experience in human resources, with 15 years in non-profit organizations.
Grace is responsible for managing a team of HR professionals that grew as the number of staff on payroll also grew across the country over the years. She is responsible for introducing the Great Place to Work program and providing improved HR services to staff in every region, including overseeing the Human Resources Information System and online legislated learning.
Outside of work, Grace enjoys spending time in nature with her family at a provincial park that’s just outside her backyard.
