Vice-president, Corporate Services
Stewart Hardacre is responsible for delivery of efficient and effective finance, administration, information management and technology, human resources, legal, insurance and risk management services in support of national and regional leadership teams across Canada. Prior to joining the Nature Conservancy of Canada, Stewart provided assessment, advice and support to non-profit and social enterprise organizations in strategy and organizational effectiveness as a consultant. He has previously served as the CEO to the Canadian Hunger Foundation, an international development agency, and as COO and then CEO of Habitat for Humanity Canada, a leading charity in affordable housing.
Prior to his non-profit leadership roles, Stewart held senior management and finance positions in professional services, including as executive director with McMillan LLP, a prominent business law firm, and as Canadian director of finance with Watson Wyatt Worldwide, a global human resource consultancy.
Stewart is a Chartered Professional Accountant (C.P.A., C.M.A.) with a keen interest in continuing education. He has pursued professional development and leadership programs at the Harvard School of Business and Queens University.
He is a frequent guest of Algonquin Park and enjoys Canada’s natural beauty as an avid hiker and backpacker.
