Alberta Director of Strategic Fundraising

Andi McDonald is the director of strategic fundraising – prairie grasslands for the Nature Conservancy of Canada. She has been with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) since 2016, and is responsible for a team of fundraisers brining in the dollars needed for NCC’s continued work. Andi has spent her entire career in the not-for-profit industry and had always wanted to work for an environmental organization due to her personal passions. She has a BA in communications, a diploma in arts and cultural management, and a diploma in computer systems technology, bringing all of her backgrounds together for fundraising approaches that are centred on people and make the most of technology.

Andi is also the Chair of the Beaver Hills Biosphere east of Edmonton, supporting and promoting the history, community, biodiversity, culture and overall significance of that distinct landscape. In her free time she can be found hiking, camping and exploring Canada’s landscapes with a good book by her side at all times.
