Thank you to the Nature Legacy Society members

Your Legacy gift and passion for nature helped us reach our Landmark Campaign goals

The Nature Conservancy of Canada’s (NCC) Landmark Campaign has been our most ambitious fundraising campaign to date.

We want to acknowledge the generous contribution of more than 2,000 Nature Legacy Society donors, totalling $82 million in pledges in their Wills to the campaign.

The Nature Legacy Society is a distinct group of NCC supporters. They have invested in Canada’s natural heritage through a gift in their Will, a gift of life insurance or a gift of a registered retirement fund.

We are immensely grateful for our Nature Legacy Society members who have informed us of their planned gift and their desire to protect Canada’s lands, waters and wildlife.

Their passion and their investment in the future of conservation will ensure the protection of Canada’s most valuable natural areas for decades to come.

Thanks to their support, NCC has the means and confidence to achieve major conservation results far into the future.

I learned about NCC’s work as Canada’s largest land steward and came to understand how critical NCC’s role is in securing the green future of the nation and the planet. I’ve had a lot of time to think about my most cherished values and consider the charities that most closely reflect them.

So, when it came time to prepare my Will, I had long since decided to include NCC as a beneficiary. It means a lot to me to be able to do so.” – Ken Butland, NLS Member

We live in a beautiful spot near the Gatineau Hills and treasure the peace, wildlife and nature that we are privileged to be part of – we also see more development and recognize the impact that we as humans have on the environment.

We hope we can be part of saving some of the wild places as they are, by leaving a gift in our will to the Nature Conservancy of Canada.” – Lisa Van Buren and Suzanne Gravel, NLS Members

I feel deeply about the problem of habitat and area loss and how this affects species’ richness, abundance and resilience. NCC is by far one of the most committed organizations that reflect my principles.” – Jacqueline Miller, NLS Member

NCC inspires us as we want our beautiful lands protected for  our wildlife and all other fauna and flora for all generations  to come.” – Karen and Michael O’Driscol, NLS Members
