Marie Racioppa joined the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) in 2023 as the conservation project coordinator in Atlantic Canada. She supports NCC staff by keeping track of the administrative and financial aspects of land securement.

Marie holds a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto where she specialized in environmental biology. She also has a master of environmental studies from the University of Waterloo where she studied conservation planning for the greater sage-grouse. Marie grew up in Markham, Ontario, and was inspired to study the natural world through her dad, who taught her to scuba dive, camp and encouraged her to volunteer at beach cleanups. She is passionate about finding wildlife, painting landscapes, and enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities like hiking, paddling and swimming.
