The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) works with a wide range of fundraising partners to raise the necessary funds to advance our conservation work across Canada.

Face-to-face fundraising

Some of our partners go out in the community to have conversations that raise awareness about NCC and encourage members of the public to support NCC by committing to make a monthly donation to support Canada’s natural spaces.

Regular support from monthly donors is vital to our efforts to conserve land across Canada and to protect and restore the natural spaces that wildlife depend on to thrive.  Face-to-face fundraising is a cost-effective way to engage new monthly donors and raise awareness about NCC.

You may encounter our face-to-face fundraisers on the street or going door-to-door in the Greater Toronto Area.

How can you tell if a fundraiser is legitimate?

NCC’s fundraisers can be easily identified by the NCC lanyard on their person with their name and photo. They may also wear NCC branded items like a bright green vest, featuring the NCC logo on the front and back and/or a hat. Our team will use electronic tablets to collect and temporarily store donor data.

What is the sign-up process?

Fundraisers will process your first donation to NCC on the spot using a tablet and digital form containing the NCC logo.  Your gift will be confirmed by an email receipt sent immediately following this.  New monthly donors can expect to receive a phone call to verify that the information we collected is accurate.  Following this NCC will be in touch via email to welcome you on board and introduce you to our team and the work you are making possible.
