Canada Life

Canada Life has renewed its commitment to the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) as National Sponsor of the Conservation Volunteers program, with a pledge of $500,000. The Conservation Volunteers program invites Canadians of all ages to spend a day with NCC on one of our properties, completing important work alongside NCC experts. By supporting the Conservation Volunteers program, Canada Life is helping Canadians connect to nature and lend a hand to protect our country’s species and natural habitats. The company has been a sponsor of the NCC’s volunteer program since 2012, during which time it helped to double the size of the program from 1,500 to 3,000 volunteers per year.

NCC’s Conservation Volunteers program provides hands-on volunteer events on NCC properties across the country. During these events, volunteers team up with NCC to carry out stewardship activities like planting trees and other native plants, building and maintaining trails, removing invasive species, identifying and counting species like butterflies and waterfowl and restoring streams and riverbanks.
