Stewardship Coordinator
Marika Olynyk is an ecologist and educator who currently works as the stewardship coordinator with the Nature Conservancy of Canada in Manitoba. Marika has worked for several years in the fields of conservation biology, community development and education with a variety of non-profit organizations, as well as with provincial and federal governments.
She holds a master’s degree in natural resources management from the University of Manitoba, and has worked in ecology and land management in the areas of pollination, avian and prairie ecology. She is passionate about developing meaningful ways for people to interact with the natural world, and facilitates learning opportunities and connections in her volunteer time.
Raised near Saskatoon and currently residing in Winnipeg, Marika loves camping and canoeing while exploring new places across the country.
