Morgan Higginson

Morgan Higginson is the natural area manager for the Bow natural area located west of Calgary, Alberta. She is responsible for the stewardship and management of NNC-owned land and works alongside landowners on our conservation easement properties.

Morgan joined first joined NCC in 2017 as an intern and has since then worked for NCC out of Edmonton and Calgary, on both the Development team and the Conservation team. Morgan has a bachelor of commerce degree and a bachelor of science in environmental science degree. She has spent time in her career working in agriculture, Parks and environmental consulting, but ultimately settled in the non-profit world where she is surrounded by like-minded people who want to achieve amazing goals in conservation.

Morgan's hobbies include spending time outdoors, especially kayaking with her dog, Kobe, and dreaming of her next big trip. Her favourite flower is the twin flower, and she could spend all day in the forests looking at all the tiny plants.
