Rebecca Schroeder is the aquatic invasive species liaison and Asian Carp Canada project manager at the Invasive Species Centre (ISC). Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Rebecca graduated with an honours bachelor of science degree in biology from Algoma University in 2015. Her previous work, which involved studying the relationship between emerald ash borer-related tree mortality and bird community composition, prompted her interest in invasive species. At the ISC, Rebecca runs the Asian Carp Canada program, a collaboration between the ISC and Fisheries and Oceans Canada that aims to raise awareness about the threat of Asian carps to the Great Lakes.
