I joined the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) more than a decade ago. At the time, I couldn’t imagine how quickly time would pass, the challenges we would undertake and the successes we would celebrate.

In my time with NCC, I’ve been lucky enough to visit more than a dozen NCC properties across Canada. I find these places and all natural spaces magical, rejuvenating and so necessary for my health and well-being. And now, with a two-year-old daughter in tow, I hope to instill in her the same love and appreciation of Canadian nature.

When I reflect on my work at NCC, two things stand out for me: the generosity and passion of our donors, and NCC's rapid growth. In my time here, I have seen the organization take off in terms of the size and scale of the projects we have accomplished, and the diverse groups we have convened to make these projects happen.

Thanks to your passion, your commitment and your unwavering generosity, the finish line for the Landmark Campaign — the largest private fundraising campaign for conservation in Canadian history — is in sight!

Thank you for leaving your landmark. You’ve shown that together, we can accomplish great things. Through the Landmark Campaign, more than 110,000 donors have come together from communities across Canada to protect our natural spaces.

Your support has led to the completion of more than 530 new conservation projects of important habitat across Canada. Most of these places are in the regions of our country where we are rapidly losing biodiversity.

And that’s not all. Your support has also protected habitat for 130 species that are at risk of being lost from Canada.

Because you care deeply about our country’s natural legacy and have chosen to invest in it, we are poised to exceed this campaign’s ambitious conservation goals. Your conservation efforts in Canada have a global impact on our planet’s future.

As Canadians, we have come together to conserve the country and the wild spaces that mean so much to us. Learn more about how our donors have supported the Landmark Campaign.
